On August 20, 2018, distinguished guests from the African National Health Ministry, IHECC and National Liaison visited the R&D center of UEG Medical Group in Shanghai Medical Valley. President Li Minxu, the Navigation R&D Team, and the Dental CT R&D Team warmly welcomed the officials.
The African guests visited the R&D building and workshop of the AccuNavi-A surgical navigation system under the guidance of President Li Minxu. The advantages of navigation system and the operation demonstration shown by navigation R&D team gave the guests a preliminary impression of this system
AccuNavi-A is cranio-maxillofacial surgical navigation system developed by UEG which received a number of national and provincial science and technology progress awards. It integrates rich functions of pre-operative planning and intra-operative navigation, which can help surgeons make complex cranio-maxillofacial surgery safer and more precise.
Accompanied by the head of the R&D team, the guests also visited the R&D base and the GMP aseptic production workshop of Bioactive Glass Material for Wound Healing and personally experienced with this wound healing product.
Bioactive Glass Material for Wound Healing has the national patented technology of soft tissue wound healing, which has explored a new clinical application of inorganic dressings. This product can remarkably shorten wound healing time and comprehensively improve wound healing quality.
Finally, the guests visited the R&D building of the dental CT. The R&D and sales team introduced Dental Spectrum CBCT, which attracted the guests’ attention.
The Dental Spectrum CBCT developed by UEG introduces the spectrum technology on large CT to reduce metal artifacts and obtain high quality of the dental CT images.
The guests had an in-depth communication with president Li and R&D teams after the visit. We introduced the company's history, product overview and future development strategy to the guests, which enabled them to have a deeper understanding of Chinese local manufacturing companies. At the same time, we also expressed our willingness to response to the Belt and Road strategy and accelerate the development of overseas market. African officials fully affirmed our development strategy and put forward many constructive opinions.
We believe this visit from African National Health Ministry will promote the in-depth communication and cooperation between our company and African countries on medical care, and accelerate the process of internationalization, thereby achieving the international and diversified strategy goal.
